Abay Tadesse

Research Officer

Abay Tadesse is a near-completion PhD candidate in Public Health and senior epidemiologist, with a research focus on maternal mental health and its influence on offspring development. His expertise lies in life course and perinatal epidemiology, particularly examining maternal perinatal mental health and its associations with adverse child health outcomes, including adverse birth complications, congenital anomalies, neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions in children and adolescents. Abay has authored over fifty peer-reviewed publications as first, senior, and co-author, reflecting his substantial contributions to the field of public health.
